China and America: back to the future?--A Supplemental Lecture to the "Great Decisions" discussion In-Person
China and America: back to the future?--A Supplemental Lecture to the "Great Decisions" discussion
How will the United States respond to China's growing global presence?
From export controls on semiconductor technologies, to ongoing tensions over human rights violations in Xinjiang and beyond, to tensions across the Taiwan Strait, and to shooting down balloons, rising tensions in the US-China relationship are palpable. How is the US shaping relations with China? And how is the US working with other countries to address China's increasing global presence? The presenter, Professor Lewis, will address these questions as part of the Library's "Great Discussions" series.
Maggie Lewis is a Professor of Law at Seton Hall University. Her research focuses on China and Taiwan with an emphasis on criminal justice and human rights as well as on legal issues in the US-China relationship.
