Monday at the Movies: The Persian Version In-Person
Iranian-American Leila has been living a life free of the usual expectations of family and culture. But things change when her father is scheduled to have a heart transplant in New York. Soon, all her immediate family members fly in for support. In the process, Leila tries to keep her personal secrets away from her family, but to no avail. Soon, her two lives and realities intertwine, which prompts more family secrets to come out as well. Rated R. 104 minutes.
