Concert: James Austin Quartet with Vocalist Alicia Renee AKA Blue Eyes In-Person
Alicia Renee, originally from New Orleans, who has been dubbed by her hometown press as "the Gem of The French Quarter". regularly appears at Preservation Hall, Snug Harbor, and other clubs in New Orleans. She has sang with notable musicians such as Eric Clapton, John Baptiste and the Preservation Hall Jazz Band.
Most of the music will be from the "Great American Songbook" centered around Renee's vocals and music from the Stevie Wonder collection performed by jazz pianist James Austin,Jr. with: Jeremy Warren on drums and Ben Rubins playing bass.
The program is made possible, in part, by funds from the Union County Office of Cultural & Heritage Affairs, a partner of the New Jersey State Council on the Arts.
