Author Talk: Aimee Kaufman, "No One Else I'd Rather Be" In-Person
No One Else I'd Rather Be, penned by Aimee Kaufman, a New Jersey CPA, chronicles the struggles of a parent dealing with a child’s often outrageous and unexplainable behavior. Kaufman’s story details the discovery, the emotions, the negative opinions of others, the medical journey and the challenges of dealing with an educational establishment unprepared to handle children with disabilities.
While ADHD can literally tear a family apart, Kaufman’s approach to surviving her daughter’s erratic behavior toward her parents and her sister involved her undying love and compassion. She wrote the book in the hope that other parents facing similar situations can not only empathize but perhaps gain both inspiration and guidance for their journey.
Copies of the book will be available for sale at the program.
