Join us for an informal monthly Chinese Immersion program at Summit Free Public Library

October 19: Sugar Art from China: A Sweet Tradition

Join us for a special Chinese Corner session featuring Tanghua (糖画) — the traditional Chinese sugar painting art. Learn about the history and cultural significance of this unique folk art, where melted sugar is used to create delicate animals, flowers, and symbols. There will be a live sugar painting demonstration on-site, and participants will have the chance to see how these edible artworks are made up close. A fun and tasty way to explore Chinese culture!
