Acting is Doing: A Workshop for Adults interested in Amateur Acting or Just Having Fun In-Person


Workshop Focus: Fundamentals of truthful performance, listening, and simple monologue/
scene work.

This beginner (2 session:  Wed., June 3 & Wed., June 10) acting course will introduce students to the foundational tools of performance. Through exploration, partner exercises and light scene work, students
will practice how to listen and respond truthfully under imaginary circumstances.  This in-person workshop is limited to 10 people to allow all participants to receive personal attention.

At the end of the 2 sessions, students will:

• Understand basic stage direction and terminology
• Build confidence in front of others
• Practice “active” listening and responding
• Make strong character choices

No acting experience requiredFor adults 18+

Acting and singing for over 30 years and a proud 25+ year member of Actor's Equity Association, Dan studied the Meisner Technique at The Neighborhood Playhouse School of Theater in NYC and has appeared in over 100+ productions throughout NY, NJ and nationally.
