Explore Your World: Minicourses for Adults: Shakespeare's Early Villains with Professor Robert Comeau

Join this exciting college lecture course taught by Robert Comeau, Professor of English at Union County College. Shakespeare’s earliest Tragedies and Histories, Titus Andronicus, The three parts of King Henry VI, and Richard III established him as a pres-ence on the London stage. These early plays foreshadow many signifi-cant themes and devices from the later, perhaps greater, plays, and cause us to examine what happens when a culture and its leaders choose bru-tality, violence and revenge as a guiding force.

This lecture series made possible by the Summit Area Public Foundation.
