Jerry O'Sullivan
Widely recognized as America's most accomplished uilleann piper (Irish elbow  bagpipes), Jerry O'Sullivan drew much of his musical inspiration from Ireland itself, through recordings made there and direct personal contact with musicians who lived there.

Jerry has appeared on more than 90 albums, from orchestral performances to pop, rock and film soundtracks. His first two solo albums, The Invasion (Green Linnet,1987) and The Gift (Shanachie,1998), have both received critical acclaim, quickly finding their way to the top of a number of "best albums of the year" lists. Jerry has since released two albums of O'Sullivan Meets O'Farrell, music from the 200-year-old O'Farrell tutor and tune collections. In 2018 a new cd The Killasser Flute was released. His website is jerrythepiper

Jerry has been a featured performer and instructor in numerous folk festivals, and has performed at many venues including New York's Lincoln Center, St. Patrick's Cathedral, and on the mall in Washington D.C. He is a gifted ambassador of the Irish uilleann pipes, maintaining the historic traditions and melodies of the instrument while expanding its range into new genres. His mastery of the instrument, traditional knowledge, versatility, and dedication to education truly make him America's premier uilleann piper.
