Come celebrate Leonard Cohen, one of the greatest musicians of our time.  Learn about his life and legacy and how his background and experiences influenced his music, lyrics, relationship with religion, politics, spirituality, and intimate relationships.

Marcia Pally, Professor in Multilingual Multicultural Studies at New York University, and Mercator Guest Professor in the Theology Faculty at Humboldt University-Berlin (Germany) will be interviewed by Rabbi Hannah Orden of Congregation Beth Hatikvah in Summit and local author Pamela Erens about her recently published book:  "From this Broken Hill I Sing To You: God, Sex, and Politics in the Work of Leonard Cohen".

Live music highlighting some of Mr. Cohen's  major works will be performed by New York City-based multi-instrumentalist and singer-songwriter Judah S. Goldman.  Among the many and far-ranging musical styles that inspire him Judah has been greatly influenced by the works of Bob Dylan, Paul Simon, James Taylor, David Gilmour, Leonard Cohen and others.
