Marcia Chatelain will discuss her book Franchise: The Golden Arches in Black America. From civil rights to Ferguson, Franchise reveals the untold history of how fast food became one of the greatest generators of black wealth in America. In 2021,Chatelain was awarded the Pulitzer Prize for History for Franchise: The Golden Arches in Black America. 

This virtual author talk will be followed by a live Q&A session where participants can ask questions directly with the author.
