Monday at the Movies: Before Night Falls In-Person
A richly imagined journey into the life and writings of brilliant Cuban author and exile Reinaldo Arenas. Before Night Falls spans the whole of Arenas' life: his rural childhood, his early embrace of the Revolution, the persecution he later experienced as a writer and homosexual in Castro's Cuba, his departure from Cuba in the Mariel Harbor exodus of 1980, and his exile and death in the United States. Rated R. 132 minutes.
