Monday at the Movies: King Solomon's Mines In-Person
Before there was Indiana Jones, there was Allan Quartermain, the stalwart hero of H. Rider Haggard's novel chronicling the adventures of a group searching for the fabled King Solomon's lost diamond mines in Africa. Stewart Granger and Deborah Kerr star in this 1950 production (in Technicolor!) which was nominated for the Academy Award for Best Picture. Not Rated. 103 minutes. In-person.
